Walk-In Clinic FAQs

Do I need an appointment for the walk-in clinic?

No appointment is needed for walk-in visits. Simply arrive during clinic hours and you will be seen by Dr. Riaz. For rostered family doctor care, booking in advance is recommended.

What should I bring to a walk-in visit?

Please bring your OHIP card and a valid photo ID. If you have a list of current medications or relevant medical records, those are helpful but not required.

Is the walk-in clinic covered by OHIP?

Yes. Walk-in visits at Your Family Medical Clinic are covered by OHIP. There is no out-of-pocket cost for most services.

Can I become a rostered patient after a walk-in visit?

Yes. If Dr. Riaz is accepting new patients, you can register as a rostered patient during or after your walk-in visit. This gives you continuity of care with the same physician.

What is the difference between a walk-in clinic and a family doctor?

A walk-in clinic handles acute, same-day concerns without an appointment. A family doctor provides ongoing, comprehensive care and knows your full medical history. At Your Family Medical Clinic, Dr. Riaz offers both.
